The Laramie Project -25th anniversary Reading

The Laramie Project tells the story of Matthew Shephard, a college student who was murdered for being gay in 1998 Laramie, Wyoming. The script is made up of verbatim interviews conducted with the community and people who knew Matthew including friends, college advisors, and Laramie locals.
This production takes place in 2023, the 25th anniversary of Matthew's death in Laramie, Wyoming. Featuring members of the Techtonic Theatre Project who wrote the piece originally, members of the community who were there when it happened, and students currently attending the University of Wyoming.
In partnership with Univeristy of Wyoming Department of Theatre and Dance, Tectonic Theater Project, WyOpen Stages, and the Shephard Symposium on Social Justice.
