Antigone

Antigone, daughter of Oedipus, buries her brother Polynices as an act of defiance. Creon, the newly appointed king is forced to punish anyone who tries to bury the body. In Anouilh's modernization, Antigone's story is told through a lense of female autonomy, control, and what it means to be a woman in a world controlled by men and the media.
